Control M Developer

Control-M Developer

Arraya Solutions is looking for a Control-M Developer to join our technology team. In this role, you will maintain and run the Control-M and Control-M Enterprise Manager software that supports automated batch scheduling. This includes, installation, upgrading, configuring, and maintaining the Control-M system for both production and non-production environments.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Expertise in Control-M Installation, configuration and administration for a distributed environment using version 9
  • Experience in setting up new Control-M environment with experience in migration from a third party scheduling tool to Control-M
  • Write and update Control-M procedures
  • Analyze requirements, procedures and problems to determine the need for further automation or to improve existing systems from users
  • Experience with Active Directory, UNIX based operating systems (Linux, HP-UX, AIX preferred) and Windows systems
  • Knowledgeable in common shell scripting and programming languages (PERL, PowerShell, Java, shell, batch, JSON, Python, C#, etc.)
  • Knowledge of object-oriented programming
  • 7+ years of experience in Control-M and scheduling and Service Management concepts
  • 1+ years Unix/Linux System Application Administration experience
  • 6-8 years operations experience in monitoring, incident handling and escalation for Control-M jobs
  • 5+ years’ experience Design, Code, Implement custom scripting solutions
  • Component security with SSL, firewall and full Control-M Server and EM security
  • Strong understanding of Control-M concepts and components
  • Ability to perform troubleshooting at component level
  • Participate in DR and business continuity tests and support the design and function of high availability solutions
  • Delivery, implementation and support of Control-M Add-ons and plug-ins such as Forecast/Batch Impact Manager/Self Service/File Transfer/SAP/Informatica etc.
  • Familiar with implementing site standards and usage of Workload Change Manager
  • Create knowledge and process documentation for use by broader community
  • Able to run various custom reports from the Reporting Facility to audit usage
  • Configure and troubleshoot Control-M server and agent issues in CCM
  • Integration of different ITSM Tools, LDAP etc. with Control-M
  • Control-M Batch development and scheduling skills and ability to manage critical process workflow
  • Should be able to support application team with implementing Control-M for their jobs
  • Coordinate with App Dev in analyzing and troubleshooting issues
  • Manage workload and identifying critical services and provide solution to application team to optimize resource used
  • Strong communication, analytical, and troubleshoot skills
  • Candidate should be Self-motivated, Self-learner and Enthusiastic
  • Perform duties and responsibilities specific to department functions and activities
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned by supervisor

Preferred Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word and Visio)
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
  • Ability to evaluate problems logically, handle complex scheduling, meet defined service levels and provide technical leadership
  • Strong interpersonal skills with strong problem analysis, diagnosis and troubleshooting skills
  • Proven communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Console operations, job scheduling, or related information technology experience (6+ years)
  • Using automated scheduling, diagnostic, monitoring, problem and change management tools (6 years)
  • Participating in systems development and implementation projects (4+ years)
  • Passion for programming
