Infrastructure Support Technician II – Virtualization

Arraya Solutions is looking for an Infrastructure Support Technician II, Virtualization to join our Managed Services technology team! As an Infrastructure Support Technician II, you will provide technical support for customers with a primary focus on Virtualization technologies (such as VMWare) and VDI solutions (such as Citrix and XenApp).

This person will respond to incidents, process service requests, and perform troubleshooting of unresolved issues for customers and internal Arraya systems. This position reports to the Infrastructure Manager, Managed Services.


  • Primary focus will be in Citrix technologies (Citrix Cloud, Xen Desktop, VDI Solutions)
  • Utilize in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server Administration, Active Directory (identification and authorization), and computer Virtualization (VMware) in support of customer’s infrastructure
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve Servers’ issues (Windows 2012, 2016, 2019), Active Directory Management, Azure
  • Administer and support the daily functional operation and configuration of customer deployed solutions
  • Assess customer environments to drive optimization and improvements
  • Document configuration management, processes, and procedures
  • Coordinate and support scheduled maintenance activities with Service Managers and across internal teams
  • Update ticket, task, and service request details to support triage, escalation, and resolution
  • Support Customer onboarding activities and change management processes
  • Capture, document, and transfer knowledge of customer environments to junior personnel
  • Train and maintain certification on supported technologies
  • Participate in on-call support rotation


  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience with Virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V) architecture and configuration in multiple environments (VMware experience preferred)
  • Hands-on experience supporting enterprise Citrix environments including installation, application deployment, testing, and troubleshooting
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting and automation
  • Citrix Management Gateway experience preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to support, troubleshoot, and communicate in a collaborative and remote team environment
  • Demonstrated ability to self-manage workload and execute tasks of varying complexity
  • Experience managing incidents and problems in one or more enterprise class ITSM platforms (ServiceNow, BMC Remedy, SolarWinds, ManageEngine, Kaseya)
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and customer-facing skills
  • Previous experience with a Managed Service Provider (MSP) or a fast-paced environment a plus
  • A desire to continue learning about emerging technologies
  • Relevant certifications a plus

  Job Type & Expectations

  • This is a full-time position, (40) hours/week
  • May require occasional travel to Arraya’s Managed Services facility or customer sites
  • Work is performed in a 24×7 operations environment with on-call participation
