27 Years of Partnership: A Letter from Our CEO

Twenty-seven years ago, David Bakker and I started this company with a belief that has never left us: that technology works best when it’s built on trust.

It sounds simple. But in an industry that moves as fast as ours, staying grounded in that belief, through every new platform, every market shift, every challenge, takes real commitment. Looking back, I’m grateful we never lost sight of it.

When we opened our doors in 1999, we were a small consulting practice with a clear point of view: that clients deserved a partner who would take the time to truly understand their business, not just their technology. We weren’t trying to be the biggest firm in the room. We were trying to be the most trusted one. That intention shaped everything: how we hired, how we engaged our clients, and how we measured our own success.

Over the years, we grew in ways that were hard to imagine in those early days. We started as D & D Consulting Group and became Arraya Solutions in 2001. We became an early VMware partner in 2004, leaning into virtualization before it was mainstream. We expanded our capabilities into managed services, cybersecurity, staffing, and application development, always following where our clients’ needs led us. We opened an office in the Philippines to extend our support around the clock and around the world. And through all of it, we worked hard to make sure that growth never came at the cost of the personal, accountable service that defined us from the beginning.

What I’m most proud of, though, isn’t any of those milestones. It’s the relationships we formed along the way.

When I think about 27 years of Arraya, I think about the clients who have been with us for five years, for ten, for more than two decades. The ones who called us for an initial project and are still calling us today. The ones who have let us become genuinely embedded in their teams, not just as a vendor, but as a partner who knows their business, understands their goals, and shows up when it matters most.

That kind of relationship doesn’t happen by accident. It’s the result of hard work by a lot of remarkable people: our team that brings both the technical skills and the genuine care that makes Arraya what it is. And it’s the result of clients who chose to invest in a real partnership rather than a transactional one. For that, I am deeply grateful.

The technology landscape will keep changing. It always does. But the values David and I built this company on in 1999 are the same ones guiding us today: trust, honesty, technical excellence, and a real commitment to the people we serve.

Thank you for 27 years. We don’t take a single one of them for granted.

With gratitude,

Daniel Lifshutz
