June 16, 2017 – Arraya Solutions announced today that its Chief Financial Officer, Sally Bonner, has been named as one of the Philadelphia Business Journal’s CFOs of the Year. Each year, the publication honors CFOs headquartered in the Greater Philadelphia area deemed to have excelled in their role as financial stewards of their organizations.
An independent panel of judges selected winners based on their financial management skills and the ability to execute initiatives that strengthen the strategic market position of their companies. The judging criteria also looked for a demonstrable commitment to fiscal integrity as well as a history of working to better their local communities.
“Gone are the days when the CFO was narrowly viewed as ‘chief bean counter,’” said Craig Ey, Editor in Chief of the Philadelphia Business Journal. “Today, with the intense scrutiny and oversight of their work, coupled with the ever-changing marketplace, every one of them is under immense pressure. Indeed, we often refer to CFOs as the unsung heroes of the C-suite. The Philadelphia Business Journal CFO of the Year Awards honor the best and the brightest: these executives exemplify the professionalism, integrity, resilience, and the mastery of the financial and people skills that make a great CFO.”
“I’m proud to be included among so many talented financial executives,” Bonner remarked. “Today’s finance leaders have a much broader responsibility beyond traditional accounting functions. Expertise in financial leadership, business analytics, and operational metrics are key skills that CFOs need in order to design and implement business strategies that result in the company reaching its long-term goals. The honor in being named to this list is shared by my entire team and the Arraya co-founders as we have worked together to deliver outstanding customer service to all stakeholders with a focused effort to achieve Arraya’s mission.”
Winners will be recognized at the 2017 CFO of the Year Awards reception on July 13th, 2017 at the Crystal Tea Room in Center City Philadelphia. They will also be featured in a special section of the Philadelphia Business Journal’s July 14th issue.
